What are my health insurance options?

You can go direct to any of the carriers available in your area or through the Covered California exchange. We are here to help make an educated decision.

Can I enroll in a plan whenever I want?

No, unless there is a qualifying event, you may only enroll in these plans during Open Enrollment.

Am I amble to keep my current doctor?

Typically yes.  We can assist in determining what plans/networks are accepted by your current doctor.

What is a qualifiying event?

The main qualifying life events that will give you a 60-day “special enrollment period” are: 

  • Getting married. 
  • Having a baby/adopting a child or placing a child for adoption or foster care
  • Moving
  • Becoming a U.S. citizen
  • Leaving incarceration
  • Losing other health coverage due to job loss, divorce
  • COBRA expiration 
  • aging off a parent’s plan (26)
  • Losing eligibility for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance
  • Program (CHIP). For people with a marketplace plan already, having a change in income or household status that affects eligibility for premium tax credits or cost-sharing reductions
  • Gaining status as a member of an Indian tribe.
